What’s So Special about Crystals? Vivien interviewed by Mystic Mag

My personal contribution to our beautiful planet is that I’ve developed a new Crystal Healing sub-modality called “Crystal Surgery.” I use crystals as tools to operate on the etheric tissue of the energy field and energy body. With crystals, I can do both precise, micro surgery as well as the more regularly understood adjustments like chakra balancing.

I’ve spent 25 years researching Crystal Surgery, making sure that anyone who uses the correct tools, in the correct way, will get the same consistent results as I do. I was equipped to do such research, because I trained in Psychology in the 1970’s, when we were trying to prove that Psychology is a science and the scientific method got pushed down our throats. I hated it at the time, but it turned out to be a very useful training. Now, I train others to become practitioners of Crystal Surgery, as well as Crystal Healing. Currently the training is online and people from all over the world are participating.

Crystal Surgery works well on all three layers – Body, Mind and Spirit – but I’ve personally been particularly interested in the physiological effects of Crystal Healing because that’s where we can really test whether what we are doing is working – we get visible and measurable results.

Kunzite: The Flaw That Saves You | Crystal Surgery

Kunzite is one of the first stones that I fell in love with, and if I have a signature stone, it is Kunzite. I have had extraordinary luck with Kunzite and, in turn, it has brought me more extraordinary luck. This is a love story!

Because of my unusual connection with Kunzite, I could tell, just by walking past a dealer’s room at a gem show, whether there was any Kunzite in the room. This was much to the fascination and amusement of my friend Ro, who dubbed me the “Kunzite Hound” as we marched past the rooms with me chanting “No … no … no… yes, let’s go in here,” to discover gorgeous displays of Kunzite.

Although I go to the gem shows a lot, I haven’t really networked much with the dealers, but I have made friends with a few of them. One of those friends is Wally of 5 Lion Gems. My Kunzite nose led me to him about 25 years ago, and I have got the most incredible huge pieces of Kunzite from him as well as a windfall. One day when I went in to see what he had, he said: “Vivien, I have this big box of Kunzite that I will sell to you for $700.” It was a big plastic tub with over 80 Kunzite crystals in it, and not small ones, either – most were the size of the palm of a hand. I couldn’t believe my luck.

My other startling Kunzite experience happened when I was wondering whether to keep a special piece of Kunzite for myself, or allow a friend to purchase it. Another piece of Kunzite came to me in a vision and said: “If you let your friend get that piece, I will come into your life.”

Now, this was no ordinary piece of Kunzite in the vision – it was large, (about 10 inches long and half an inch thick) and gemmy, with an intense magenta color. The wholesale price of a piece like that is upwards of $3,000 – in a price range that I don’t even consider – so I can’t actually be accurate about its value. It didn’t seem feasible, but I shrugged my shoulders and let my friend acquire the other piece.

About 6 weeks later, at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, I went into Bob Jackson’s room. Bob Jackson used to be the ‘significant other’ of Melody, of Love is in the Earth Crystal Encyclopedia, and Bob has been a very important mentor to me. There, in his glass case for extra special specimens, shone the Kunzite from the vision.

My mouth started watering, and I couldn’t take my eyes off the stone. If I remember correctly, I actually began to shake. Firstly, it’s no small thing to see such a beautiful crystal Surgery and secondly, it’s no small thing for talking crystals from visions to appear before you – at least not for me anyway – although I’m working on it.

 Crystal Surgery is a new style of crystal healing, founded in the 1990’s by Vivien Schapera.

In Crystal Surgery, the crystals are used in very specific ways as tools for “operating” on both the energy field and the energy body. The energy field is the electromagnetic force field, which emanates from the physical body and the energy body, and surrounds the physical body. The energy body is the energetic duplicate of the physical body and is made up of etheric tissue. Etheric tissue consists of “materials” from the etheric dimension, in contrast to the physical body, which is made up of materials from the earthly dimension.

Originally, the Crystal Surgery techniques were comprised mostly of procedures for “operating.” The Healer holds and uses the crystals like scalpels and other surgical instruments, and applies the crystals to skills such as scraping, cutting, cleaning, suctioning and stitching.

Crystals are an ideal instrument for such activities: Imagine that you are a chef and you have a magical knife. This magical knife can sense the food properties as it cuts, and as it senses, it can also deliver the precise ingredients that will balance and harmonize the flavors of the entire dish you are creating. And that is not all! Additionally the knife can develop a bond with you, and begin to communicate telepathically, giving you all manner of salient information. Well, that is what crystals can do in Crystal Surgery! Crystals can be used as tools for specific “surgical”actions, whilst they simultaneously adjust wavelength and chemistry.

At the time of founding, the Crystal Surgery syllabus evolved into 2 manuals – one for operating on the energy field and one for operating on the energy body. Vivien then considered how most healers learn how to “fix what’s broken.” But, based on her extensive experience of working one-on-one with people, she realized that Healing requires additional capacities. In response to this insight, Vivien developed a 3rd manual which consists of a set of advanced protocols, for energetically removing “what doesn’t belong” (de-imprinting) and adding “what’s missing” (imprinting.)

Crystal Surgery Demo: Realigning the Pranic Tube, Central Column of the Chakra System

The pranic tube is like the spine — a central column which coordinates the chakra system — in the same way that the spinal cord is the central column of the nervous system. Instead of nerves though, the pranic tube has filaments that pick up and convey information to and from the chakras.
