You are listening to the Schapera Show, and I am Neil, bringing you reports of my Shamanic Journeys to the Spirit Realm and the guidance that the benevolent Spirits give us.
So, the purpose of this journey is to travel to the Spirit Realm of the Upper world with the request for guidance on how the Spirit Realm and interacting with the Spirit Realm is of importance to humans. The purpose of this journey is to travel to the Spirit Realm, to the Upper world, and ask the Spirits for guidance on the question, why is connecting with the Spirit Realm important for humans?
So, I’m standing on my mountain ledge, ready for my ascension to the Upper world, and as I was thinking about how I would go up this time, because there is more than one method of going up to the Upper world, I see the picture of what I’m calling an animated totem pole that I used recently to go to the Upper world. And it’s quite wide; it’s a little bit broader than I can get my arms around, and it has all kinds of carvings on it. Carvings of faces, of people, animals, fantasy faces, other shapes and colors, and it has all these protrusions and hollows that provide for a very easy way to climb up the totem pole.
And I’m climbing up, and as I’m going up, I’m continuing to put out my intention for this journey, that I’m going to the Upper world to ask the Spirits to help me explore and to answer the question of how is connecting with the Spirits, with the Spirit Realm, important? And I, of course, know through much experience, without any question of doubt or uncertainty, that connecting with the Spirit world is vital, but I thought this would be an interesting topic for the listeners of the Schapera Show, who might not have much familiarity with shamanic journeying.
So I’m going up, and as I go up, in addition to the lights that are glowing out of this pole as I climb up, there are also sounds, and overall, I take them as sounds of welcome. And I’m going up, and I know not to set any limits as to how high I will climb. And in fact, it’s getting darker around me as the climb takes me into, you could say, the darkness of space. And also, as I go up, I’m calling in my benevolent Spirits of the Upper world, my Spirit teachers, and I pause in my narration to give me time to think of their identities as I call them in.
And I get to what is, for this journey, the top of the climb, the top of the structure, and one of my Spirit teachers who flies comes swooping down and collects me. And so we’re flying even higher up. And I’m interested to see where we arrive. Sometimes, many times, going up to the Upper world, I arrive in a familiar spot, but that doesn’t have to be the case.
And in fact, they take me to an area that I think I’m more familiar with from the Lower world, which is a river. But instead of it being in the jungle, as when I’ve done a similar journey in the Lower world, this is a very calm river. Very peaceful, very wide; it’s not a jungle river. And I’m in a boat, and I’m not sure how the boat is being propelled, but we’re moving along at a leisurely pace.
