And that in things that we see and things that we experience and people that we see that’s where there’s hidden treasure.

The hidden treasures of healing and wisdom can be found also in what we call the ordinary of everyday life.

So the purpose of this journey for the Schapera show is to travel to the lower world and ask the spirits to please take me to an area in the lower world where I can experience healing and wisdom.

I go into my, I go into the hollowed out tree trunk where I use the portal in the floor.

I see it energetically charging up with some moving lights and a sense of spinning and I know I just need to put myself into that portal to start my descent to the lower world.

So I go through and I’m actually hanging on the underneath of the portal. My fingertips are still holding onto the edges, not out of any reluctance to go. It’s just a a new experience.

And I let go and start very gently, but definitely going down, going lower and down and down and down and putting out my request to the benevolent, compassionate, spirit helpers of the lower world to allow me to come to the lower world and for them to please take me to an area of the lower world where I will see and experience healing and wisdom.

So, the purpose of this journey is to travel to the Spirit Realm of the Upper world with the request for guidance on how the Spirit Realm and interacting with the Spirit Realm is of importance to humans. The purpose of this journey is to travel to the Spirit Realm, to the Upper world, and ask the Spirits for guidance on the question, why is connecting with the Spirit Realm important for humans?

So, I’m standing on my mountain ledge, ready for my ascension to the Upper world, and as I was thinking about how I would go up this time, because there is more than one method of going up to the Upper world, I see the picture of what I’m calling an animated totem pole that I used recently to go to the Upper world. And it’s quite wide; it’s a little bit broader than I can get my arms around, and it has all kinds of carvings on it. Carvings of faces, of people, animals, fantasy faces, other shapes and colors, and it has all these protrusions and hollows that provide for a very easy way to climb up the totem pole.

And I’m climbing up, and as I’m going up, I’m continuing to put out my intention for this journey, that I’m going to the Upper world to ask the Spirits to help me explore and to answer the question of how is connecting with the Spirits, with the Spirit Realm, important? And I, of course, know through much experience, without any question of doubt or uncertainty, that connecting with the Spirit world is vital, but I thought this would be an interesting topic for the listeners of the Schapera Show, who might not have much familiarity with shamanic journeying.

So I’m going up, and as I go up, in addition to the lights that are glowing out of this pole as I climb up, there are also sounds, and overall, I take them as sounds of welcome. And I’m going up, and I know not to set any limits as to how high I will climb. And in fact, it’s getting darker around me as the climb takes me into, you could say, the darkness of space. And also, as I go up, I’m calling in my benevolent Spirits of the Upper world, my Spirit teachers, and I pause in my narration to give me time to think of their identities as I call them in.

And I get to what is, for this journey, the top of the climb, the top of the structure, and one of my Spirit teachers who flies comes swooping down and collects me. And so we’re flying even higher up. And I’m interested to see where we arrive. Sometimes, many times, going up to the Upper world, I arrive in a familiar spot, but that doesn’t have to be the case.

And in fact, they take me to an area that I think I’m more familiar with from the Lower world, which is a river. But instead of it being in the jungle, as when I’ve done a similar journey in the Lower world, this is a very calm river. Very peaceful, very wide; it’s not a jungle river. And I’m in a boat, and I’m not sure how the boat is being propelled, but we’re moving along at a leisurely pace.

Spirit Report: The Importance Of Creativity

You are listening to the Schapera Show, and I am Neil, bringing you reports of my Shamanic Journeys to the Spirit Realm and the guidance that the benevolent Spirits give us.

The purpose of this journey is to travel to the Spirit realm of the Upper world and ask the compassionate Spirits, Spirits of benevolence and kindness, the Spirits that in the Upper world are referred to as Spirit teachers, to ask them to give me guidance on the topic of the importance of creativity for humans, the importance of creativity in the lives of humans.

And this is really fascinating because immediately what I’m shown as my way of traveling up to the Upper world, to climb up to the Upper world, is I guess you could call it a totem pole, which is carved and painted in all kinds of motifs. I see animal faces, similar to what I saw having been created by indigenous tribal people in Costa Rica, the masks that they created.

And so I’m being told straight away that for want of a better word, we’ll call it creativity has been around for a long, long time. And they say that creativity at its peak, so to speak, is a way of connecting with the Spirit realm, with the divine, with the transcendent, that yes there is, to put it poorly, to not give it its due, you could call it, there is the decoration aspect of creativity, which segues into beauty, which segues into this experience of transcendence.

And creativity is naturally to be understood as the experience of the creator, and the experience of the recipient, the person who sees the creation, hears the creation, reads the creation, whatever form the creation takes. And the Spirits are saying that of course the primary creativity is the creativity of the creation of the universe.

And this is all before I’ve even properly started ascending this, what I’m calling a totem pole, it’s a way for me to get up. And because there are carvings sticking out along the side, it’s very, very easy to climb. There are all kinds of footholds and hand holes and openings. It’s actually ideally created for climbing.

Tangerine Quartz: Choose the Scaffolding in Your Daily Life that will Support You

Hello and welcome to The Schapera Show where Viv and Neil explore this big adventure called Life.
This is the part of the show where I, Vivien, talk to and about crystals.

Our crystal guest today is Tangerine Quartz a most interesting candidate. Tangerine Quartz is like Golden Healer in that the color appears to be formed like a stain through the material, but it is not an inclusion.

This in itself seems to signal a property or even multiple properties because we see this dynamic with Golden Healer, and then also the aura minerals. Where the stain is coming from is not entirely certain and actually, can vary. For example, Hematite is one candidate and Limonite is another, forming this iron oxide coating.
The important thing to know is that the color cannot be removed by cleaning or scraping – it is integral to the structure, fused, and this is a very important marker.

Now that I have systematized asking AI to see what the bots can access, let’s take that step and check what useful info shows up: 

What AI / mainstream crystal-healing sources say about Tangerine Quartz

Tangerine Quartz is generally described as Quartz with an orange coating of iron oxide (often hematite or limonite), rather than a distinct mineral species.The orange coloration is attributed to external iron staining, not internal coloration of the quartz lattice.

Sadly, there wasn’t much useful to me in the report – yet again, a series of generalizations that could have been about any Quartz or even multiple other minerals.

On the other hand, what Melody says about the healing benefits of Tangerine Quartz aligns exactly with how we use Tangerine Quartz in Crystal Surgery. Melody says that Tangerine

Quartz can be used for cellular renewal and re-engagement of life force at the physical level. How great is that – because in Crystal Surgery we use Tangerine Quartz very, very systematically in quite a difficult skill called “weaving” where we construct scaffolding to rebuild etheric tissue.

In Crystal Surgery, we also use Tangerine Quartz in tissue regeneration. Both of these procedures can be used to repair an injured area, to repair a chakra and even to rebuild a chakra. This all makes sense, because Melody says: Tangerine Quartz brings energy back into embodiment.

Seraphinite: A “Must Have Stone” that Calms, Quiets and Clears Excess Activity in the Nervous System

Our crystal guest today is one of my most used minerals, Seraphinite. To be clear, Seraphinite is a totally made-up name. The mineral name is actually Clinochlore. But Seraphinite is a well-suited nickname for this stone.

Here’s what AI says about the healing properties of Seraphinite. I’m just going to get it out of the way because AI is with us to stay. And it’s actually useful if you know how to use it. Seraphinite’s healing properties are primarily linked to spiritual growth, angelic connection and emotional and physical balance. It is believed to promote a connection to higher realms and angelic beings and is used to clear negative energy and emotional blockages. Metaphysically, it is associated with the Heart and Crown Chakras, helping to facilitate peace, calm and transformation.

Right, so we have the angelic connection, self-healing, energetic cleansing and then it also says chakra balancing. And I cannot say that any of that isn’t true, but it’s not sounding exciting. And then we can go on from there to look at the physical healing aspects. It says balance, its energy is said to support growth and balance in all aspects of life, physical, emotional and spiritual. And then peace and calm, it is known for its calming and soothing energies that can bring a sense of peace. So it sounds nice, but hardly exciting and inspiring.

Spirit Report: Show Us Something Important in the Lower World

The purpose of this journey is to travel to the Lower world and ask the Spirits there to show me some area or show me something in the Lower world that is very useful for people to know about.

So I see my tree in the forest that I regularly use to go down to the Lower world. I go into the hollowed out opening into the tree trunk and there on the floor is this moving light portal, and I put out the wish for the Spirits to please support me, and guide me, and help me get to the Lower world, and help guide me to something very interesting and useful, for people to know about in the Lower world.

So I go into that swirling portal and emerge as I often do where it’s as if I’m in space way way way up and the Lower world is below me, and again I request the Spirits can they please take me down and down to the Lower world, and when I’m there please be with me and support me and guide me to something interesting and useful to report back on in the Lower world.

And I’m getting lower and lower and now I’m actually quite close and as is often the case it looks very forested and green and jungle like below me. And I land at a familiar clearing where there are these—it started with numerous white spherical—they looked like stones, very white, and I’m here amongst them.

And I ask for Spirits of the Lower world, my Spirit helpers, as they refer to Spirits that usually show themselves usually in an animal like form, to come and help me and guide me and take me to interesting and useful and interesting and useful area in the Lower world. And they have me just sit on one of these large round stones or rocks or even eggs—this one is big enough for me to comfortably sit on and it’s rounded.

Spirit Report: Journey for Guidance on Peace of Mind

 |So the purpose of this journey is to travel to the spirit realm and ask the spirits for guidance on how best to take care of, to improve our peace of mind. I’m going to travel to the upper world for this journey and ask the spirit teachers of the upper world to give me guidance on this topic of how best to look after our peace of mind. And there’s a subtext here, in brackets, of “in these very difficult times”

I’m standing on my mountain ledge and I get a message for myself that is already a response to the question that I’ve stated, and that is to try and to relax, to as much as possible let go of physical tension. So as I’m lying here beginning the journey, I can feel an enormous amount of tension in my shoulder blade area and shoulders and upper arms and legs. The spirits are advising me to begin the journey with relaxing and releasing that tension. And I know it’s also a partial answer to the request for looking after our peace of mind. So I’m letting my breathing find an easier quality, and I’m letting myself be more present in this moment, rather than striving for the next moment, or striving to move on.

And as it happens, my cat Birdie has come to lie on me, and I know that that, too, is a response. That, where it’s possible, find, you could call it comfort, you could call it companionship, you could find it just this deep basic pleasure of connecting with an animal. And so many people have animals, especially cats and dogs, and let that be a very deliberate, intentional connection with them, where we’re looking for that interaction to be beneficial to our peace of mind.

And to remember and understand that animals are very, very sensitive to a human’s peace of mind; they’re able to detect it. And a previous journey said that the quality of our civilization—the spirits told me this, but I found a quote from Gandhi that reflected this, too—that the quality of our civilization is reflected in how we treat animals. So we want our peace of mind to be a beneficial stimulus for the animals around us.

Heliodor: Reignite the Light Within You

Hello and welcome back to the Schapera Show where Vivien and Neil explore this big adventure called life. This is the part of the show where I, Vivien, talk to and about crystals.

We have been talking to members of the Beryl family and we are going to continue that today by talking to Heliodor, which is the yellow Beryl. Sounds like the yellow peril but it’s not. It’s the yellow Beryl and it’s the opposite of peril.

Heliodor’s meaning is rooted in its Greek origins—meaning gift of the sun, from Helios for the sun and Doron for gift. Heliodor is aptly named because it embodies the sun’s warmth and positive energy.

With its yellow color, it is of course associated with the solar plexus chakra, promoting self-confidence and self-empowerment. The solar plexus chakra includes the organs of self, and I think I have spoken about them before, but I’m going to talk about them again today because we are talking about the solar plexus chakra and it’s very important.

Here’s a list of those organs: the liver, the spleen, the kidneys, the stomach, and the pancreas.

Because Heliodor is a Beryl, it enlivens the nervous system. You see, aquamarine and morganite—they’re Beryls—they really affect nerves. So does Heliodor, but in a somewhat different way. It’s quite interesting. It will come through when you see what else we’ve got to say here.

So here’s the thing that Heliodor does: it strengthens the flow of messages coming from the brain to these organs of self and helps them to function better.

Vivien: That’s a nice list. You know Katherine, I’ve discovered that us Healers actually have very varied backgrounds. What did you do before you became a Healer?

Katherine: First in Canadian forces in the navy for 5 years, 1988 – 1993, was a navy signalman, classified info being communicated

 Journey to the Upper World for Guidance on patterns on earth, and in our civilization, that provide a perspective on what the near-term future of the earth might be like

 The purpose of this journey is to travel to the Upper World and ask the Spirits if they can give guidance on patterns that are discernible in the World on earth that indicate what the future will be like.. Specifically, I aim to travel to the Spirit realm of the Upper World to ask the Spirits about discerning patterns on earth and in our civilization that provide a perspective on what the near-term future of the earth might be like

I started from my mantle edge and am going up alongside the beam or pathway that I usually use.. I’m floating easily upwards, ascending alongside it, not being pushed from below or pulled from above.. My intended destination is the clearing in a forest in the Upper World where my Spirits often assemble

I’m keen to direct this question to one of my Spirits in particular who specializes in putting pieces together and making sense of it.. She is ideal for this, like putting puzzle pieces together and forming a sensible picture.. I see her in this clearing; she appears on a carpet.. The patterns that she can create on that carpet will reveal important understandings and perspectives

She actually looks a little bit downcast, saying that asking for predictions about the future is not that desirable… I clarify what I’m asking: “What do existing patterns imply for the near-term future?”

Instead of having me look at the carpet and the patterns on it, she’s taken me up to the top of a hill… I’ve been to this hill at least a couple of times before, and the theme has always been looking out over an expansive landscape and having a big perspective of things…

Spirit Report: Description of Shamanic Journeying

 

 

 So for today’s session, rather than reporting on a Shamanic Journey as I usually do, I will describe to you, briefly, what a Shamanic Journey is, and hopefully this will interest you enough, so that you will want to learn how to do a Shamanic Journey yourself.

That is the beauty of learning how to do a Shamanic Journey – that rather than always going to a shamanic practitioner and asking them to Journey on your behalf (although this is a very valuable thing to do, especially for healing), you can learn how to Journey for yourself.

Generally, the Shamanic Spirit Realm is described as having three “territories” or Worlds.
There is the Middle world and that is where we are right now, our every-day consciousness and Reality that’s described as the Middle world. However when one goes on a Shamanic Journey one usually travels either upwards to the Reality described as the Upper world, or one travel downwards to the Spirit realm that’s described as the Lower world. 

Both these worlds are essential aspects of the Shamanic Journey landscape, where one can encounter and engage with Spirit, because after all, that is the fundamental aspect of Journeying – connecting deliberately, reliably and repeatedly, with these benevolent Spirits of the Upper world and the Lower world, and being able to take questions and requests to them, and ask them to bring their healing, compassion, benevolence, kindness and love, to help us with our every-day lives in the ordinary reality of the Middle world

So you could say that is the essence of the Shamanic Journey – to deliberately, repeatedly, develop a deepening relationship with the Spirit world.
