 Moonstone

Who Brings out the Best in You?

Who is the Light of Your Life?

Today we’re going to talk to Moonstone, and more specifically, Rainbow Moonstone. Rainbow Moonstone is a predominantly white stone, whereas “regular” Moonstone has a beige or pink hue. Moonstone is the popular name for this mineral, which is actually Adularia, and it’s good to know this is the true name because Moonstone has a particularly attractive property (which I can barely pronounce, so I hope I’m saying it right) called “adularescence.” Adularescence is a kind of chatoyancy.

Chatoyancy refers to the way some stones shine in the light, very similar to the shine on silk. Adularescence is described as a milky, bluish sheen that is also like a glow of light. And, as you move the stone, the glow seems to follow the light.

What’s so compelling about Moonstone, is that the blue seems to emanate from inside the stone, as though there is an otherworldly light shining out at us from another dimension. And it is specifically this blue, glowing light that earned Moonstone its name – because it is so reminiscent of our closest “other world” that shines down upon us – the moon!

Like the moon, Moonstone can affect the water in our bodies. Consequently, it helps us with matters related to fluid balance – like dehydration, water retention, and swelling. Moonstone also has a positive effect on women’s hormonal levels and can help women with everything to do with a healthy hormonal balance. When pregnant, Moonstone encourages balance and when going through menopause, likewise. I will go so far as to say that all women should have a healthy supply of Moonstone jewelry – rings, necklaces, earrings and pendants – to see them through all the hormonal cycles of life.

Neil’s Journey to the “Pool of Reflection”

For today’s show, I did a Shamanic Journey to the Upper World

Requesting guidance for information to present on the Schapera Show

Went up along glistening silver blue light beam

Not climbing the light beam, but just going up along side it.

I wanted to meet my beloved Spirit Teachers in the Upper World Spirit Realm and request important, useful and interesting information for the Show.

I entered the Upper World at a familiar place, going over a small wooden bridge, that lead me to a clearing where the benevolent Spirit Teachers of the Upper World often come to meet me.

I soon saw one of my Spirit Teachers who is very interesting in that she travels to both the Lower World and the Upper World – I regularly see her in both Spirit Realms.
Usually the Spirits stay mainly in either the Upper or the Lower Worlds.

She reminds me of a Journey I did previously for today’s show, where I was taken to a place called the “Pool of Reflection”, where one can get a better understanding of ones life, and how our thoughts, beliefs, and actions, most of which are habitual and lacking in self-insight, lead to consequences which are often not positive.

In the “Pool of Reflection” we can see the so-called “mistakes” we have made in our lives and understand with clarity how poor thinking and poor judgment, and especially lack of self-insight leads to undesirable outcomes.

The “Pool of Reflection” is a place of self-reflection, where the phrase attributed to the famous philosopher Socrates, “Know Thyself” can be put into action.
The amazing thing about seeing ones life in the Pool of Reflection apart from the benefit of a new, clear understanding, is that the Spirits can actually introduce new energies and dynamics and even transmutations into ones biographical story, so that the outcome of these past mistakes can actually be changed, and are felt much more compassionately and positively, and more importantly, there is a much more positive feeling about our present and we feel that our lives have turned out better than we previously thought.

Citrine “The Marriage Crystal!”

Call Me “The Marriage Crystal!”

Today my message is from a particular crystal that I keep next to my bed. It is a very, very fancy citrine from deep down in the earth. It has smoky phantoms, and sparkles with rainbows.

The first message from my citrine crystal is this: Please explain to them about citrine that is really heated amethyst. So here goes. Yes, amethyst and citrine are both quartz with color. Citrine is essentially amethyst that is naturally irradiated in the earth, causing it to change color. There are many amethyst geodes coming out of the earth, and some miners and dealers take the amethyst after it has been mined, and heat it in order to deliver this orange citrine color. Some people want to stick with “natural and organic” and definitely such citrine has been treated by man.

I’m interested to know what my natural citrine has to say about this, and this is what she says: If it does the job, then go for it. Once crystals have been mined, they are already “not natural.” They get extracted from their place in the earth and then, go into a chemical bath to clean them. Some of them get polished, to reveal the underlying beauty that is camouflaged by an opaque film over the crystal. What difference does it make if they are heated as well in a manner that mimics the natural process in the earth? Yes, some heated crystals look burnt, and FEEL burnt, and of course, that’s no good at all — but if the crystal looks and feels good, well then, it looks and feels good, what more do you want? On a similar, related note, the same goes for agate that has been dyed — if the result is pleasing, then consider it the same as a woman wearing make-up — an enhancement of natural beauty. We love our clothes and hairdos, and jewelery, and you know what? (Some) crystals like to dress up too!!! I do want to add, that this has not been MY personal attitude, so this is enlightening and expanding for me too.

The second message from my citrine, is that Citrine in general wants to be considered “the marriage crystal!” That’s a WOW! What could that mean? Well, in the tradition western marriage ceremony we say: to be my wedded wife/husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God’s holy ordinance” and that exactly describes all the ways that citrine can support us. Let’s take a closer look:

To have and to hold”: Yes, that’s what we do when we collect crystals — we want to have them, and we especially want to hold them. In this “holding” lies the magic that we seek. The point is that citrine will hold us too — and “holding” means being supportive, being loving.
