 Spirit Report: Don’t Let your Feelings Determine your Actions

The purpose of this journey is to travel to the Upper World and ask for general guidance and advice to help us in 2025.

So I’m standing on my mountain ledge, my mountain shelf, and knowing that I wish to go to the Upper World the energy beam gets lowered to me, almost like a rope, it comes and I put my hands around it and I grasp with my feet as well.

And immediately the rope energises and becomes taught, and this almost a vibration, that’s coming through into my body from the rope and I start climbing up very easy.

Hand-over hand using my feet to grip as well, but there’s no sense of effort, I’m just making these effortless motions and going up.
At the same the beam is taking me up as well, so its combination climbing and taking me up.

The sky above me is actually blue, with a few white clouds, and I’m going higher and higher, and it’s interesting – usually in the past it’s become darker but it’s still light.

And there’s a message that comes through already – of saying sunny days are ahead – which is a very positive and a nice message to

hear.

I get to a place that I’ve often gone to before – these large long wide pink steps, and I climb up them looking forward to going to being in the Upper World.

My intention is to ask a benevolent Ancestral Spirit for guidance and advice about how best to live and behave in 2025.

I see the large doors of this church-like building that these steps lead me to, and inside are dark wooden pews.

I sit and there is a white marble christening bath, and I’m seeing an infant being christened.

The message here to me is that 2025 is a rebirth, a new life, for me and for all of us.

Yes we can make 2025 a rebirth for ourselves, and we simply need to be clear about what the new version of ourselves will be like – in our behavior, in our qualities, in our actions, in our intentions – and we can create those ourselves.

We can anoint ourselves into a new life in 2025 and be better – more functional in ways that bring us more peace and contentment.

We need to be clear on what is it that we think will make us happier, and more content, and more satisfied, and feel like we leading meaningful worthy lives, rather than just waiting for something good to happen, which may well be the case, as the Spirit started off by saying 2025 is going to be a good year.

Part of making the goodness manifest is being clear to ourselves about what changes we want to birth into the world.

Hello and welcome to The Schapera Show where Viv and Neil explore this big adventure called Life. Our guest today is Connie McReynolds, a woman with an amazing and much-needed mission — a mission to change the entire face of this country, in 20 years, by remedying the loss of human potential to the condition we know as ADHD. Welcome, Connie, thank you for coming on our show.

Connie: Thank you, Vivien, I’m glad to be here.

Vivien: So, Connie, you have 30 years of experience as a certified Rehabilitation Counselor and also a PhD in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and you have written a book entitled: Solving the ADHD Riddle which is #1 in 8 categories on Amazon! That sounds like a fantastic accomplishment, especially, for all the people that you’re helping – let me ask: What is the riddle?

Connie: The riddle is the misperception, and the belief, that ADHD cannot be resolved, but actually, you have to look at it through a different lens.

Medication doesn’t work, behavior intervention doesn’t work. There’s a reason for that. Instead, what we can do, is learn from what’s going on, and develop a tailored intervention from that reality.

Vivien: Well, let’s get straight to the point then: What do you see through the “different” lens?

Connie: The root cause is one thing, and the diagnostic labels are another thing. The behaviors generate the diagnostic labels, like “ADHD” but the root cause is actually something different. We have found a way to decode the behaviors – using a different assessment approach we can get to the root cause in 30 minutes.

In other words, what’s really going on is underneath all of these labels – labels such as “learning disability,” “cognitive impairment” – when we run an assessment with our new tool, we can peel back all these labels and discover specific auditory and visual processing problems. These processing problems affect comprehension, stamina, focus, concentration, memory, distractibility, impulsivity, organizational skills, and follow through.

Vivien: Wow, Connie, that’s quite a list. Sounds like a list of everything that matters when trying to be functional at school, at work and in life.
