Spirit Report: Visit a Galaxy Far Away and Encounter a Life Form

 

The purpose of this Shamanic Journey is to travel to the Upper World and ask the beloved compassionate Spirits to take me to a galaxy far, far, far away, and let me see a life form that would be of interest to the listeners

I’m standing on my mountain ledge from which I usually go up.

And the animated totem-like pole has appeared and it’s full of energy and vitality as if it knows that there’s a long long long way that I need to travel for my request of visiting a galaxy very far away and encountering a life form that would be of interest and importance to the listeners of the Schapera show and myself.

And I’m climbing.

As I climb I understand that it’s good for me to put in that effort of climbing.

That’s my role in the shamanic journey to show that I want to go up.

But that the significant journey is not going to be me climbing, but this animated pole, itself going up, and taking me up.

And as I’m climbing I’m hearing various sounds, not the voices that I’ve or animal sounds that I’ve heard before on this animated energy pole that has taken me up, but almost like wind noises.

It’s as if I’m being introduced to the sounds of the galaxy.

And I’m getting a message that has become very important to me recently of don’t rush.

Don’t rush yourself.

Don’t push yourself.

It’s about presence and being in the moment and not an anxious rush towards the next thing.

And there’s a message of lay back, or sit back and enjoy.

Which I hadn’t thought about because I was climbing, but I understand that I don’t even need to climb.

I can find a comfortable place to sit and enjoy the ride of being taken up.

It’s very dark outside.

Spirit Report: Connecting with Ancestors

 Count on yourself, count on the intentions you make for yourself, the promises you make to yourself, and although they can change, which is fine, while you’re still holding to a promise, a particular promise, while you’re still holding to a particular intention, be true to that.

The purpose of this shamanic journey is to travel to the Spirit realm of the Upper world and ask the benevolent, compassionate Spirits for guidance on the topic of connecting with one’s benevolent ancestors.

I’m standing on the mountain ledge, waiting for a way of going up to the Upper world to show itself, and I find myself with the pole, like a totem pole that I’ve climbed before.

Quite an animated pole with carvings of faces and colors, and many easy handholds and footholds for me to start climbing up, and I’m feeling quite energetic and strong as I put my feet onto the various parts that protrude and my hands onto the hand grip, almost like a climbing wall, except it’s a round totem pole shape.

And I soon find myself quite far up, and I’m continuing to climb and putting out my intention to the Spirit realm, to travel to the Upper world, the Spirit realm of the Upper world, and to meet my own compassionate Spirit Teachers and ask them for guidance around connecting with benevolent ancestors.

And I’m going up and up, and unusually the surroundings around me are not just the darkness and emptiness of space, but there are green sheets of trees or growth around me, almost as if I’m ascending through a jungle forest, even though this is my way up to the Upper world.

And I’m going up and up, and the protrusions of footholds and handholds continue to be animated, and then this way of ascending, this pole, this animated totem pole comes up through a clearing in the Upper world that I’ve been to many times before, and it’s like a portal opens in the Upper world.

Hello and welcome back to the Schapera show where Vivien Neil explores this big adventure called Life.

This is the part of the show where I, Vivien, talk to and about crystals, and our crystal guest today is Elestial Quartz. An Elestial Quartz crystal is characterized by layers of terminations on the body of the crystal. This is very difficult to picture, I know, and it is a very hard crystal. I recommend doing an image search online to see examples of these crystals. I encourage you to follow up on this because when you hear what I have to say about Elestial Quartz, you will realize that Elestial Quartz belongs on the must-have list.

Elestial Quartz comprises two out of the first ten crystals I ever acquired. The very first milky quartz point I got in a nice and junk shop is technically an Elestial Quartz because around the base there is a layer of smaller terminations. To be clear, these are not little-formed crystals, which would make it a cluster, but just raised semi-formed crystal shapes with terminations. I know it is hard to picture, so I recommend looking at images online.

The second one is a Smoky Quartz Elestial which I fell in love with at the Cincinnati Gem and Mineral Show, the first time I went to a gem show. When you begin collecting anything, including crystals, you are very cautious about what you buy because you are basically ignorant and unsure about what to do. Elestial crystals are not that common, so I think it is very interesting that I chose two Elestials so early on in my crystal acquisition phase.

Now, I can certainly understand why I was attracted to Elestial Quartz because I know more about it. Elestial Quartz works amazingly on our emotional system, allowing for flow, change, and actualization. Those are big words with big meanings, and Elestial Quartz delivers. It is amazing to look at, full of interest, and radiates a unique energy that is both soothing and invigorating. I challenge you to hold an Elestial Quartz for 10–15 minutes and not come out feeling inspired.

Crystal Healing Techniques

Thank you for joining us in the study of crystals and crystal healing, including all the background information that we need, to ground and expand our skills.

For a long time I have been sitting on a significant body of knowledge – a body of knowledge that has grown to well over one hundred step-by-step crystal healing techniques – but I haven’t known how to get it to you.

I realized that publishing this material in print would not really work. The presentation requires a versatile combination of text, photos, drawings, diagrams and video clips, in an adaptable sequence, suited to different learning styles and different levels of experience.

I dreamed of a web site – a web site that could make the information come alive even better than a classroom; a web site that would be a wonderful source of knowledge; a place that you can visit again and again. But the prospect of building such a web site, in all its intricacies and demands, seemed way too daunting! 

With much encouragement (insistence?) from the students who have taken my courses, I have now begun the process of sculpting CHT out of the mass of knowledge that has been accumulating, at a steady pace, since 1995.

Think of this reference as a crossover – a hybrid between a book and a web site. This is an online book that can be delivered to you, in sections, as the material is ready, a book that can be updated regularly, a book that can grow.

The plan is to regularly add new information and new courses, allowing this web site to evolve systematically into the next great resource in crystal healing.

Yeah, good. So I think let’s just begin in a very ordinary grounded way with you telling us about yourself. For example I know you’re an Alexander teacher but in my experience almost all Alexander teachers have other careers, other interests. So let’s hear about you Karen.

Yeah so I got into Alexander technique as a professional flutist. I thought it would help my flute playing which it did but it also changed my personality in a really cool way. Like I found myself able to not respond so habitually or quickly or emotionally as I was used to and I really liked that about myself and so that got me really interested in Alexander enough so that I decided to become a teacher and so I taught for maybe years before opening a teacher training course which I’ve been doing for the past years or so. So I’m training Alexander teachers as well.

Sagenite: The “No More Painful Lessons” Mineral

 

About 22 – 23 years ago, on a trip to the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, I found a stunning crystal that persuaded me to spend more on it than ever before. What was it? It was a very clear, AAA+ grade clear Quartz with a perfect “thumbprint” of Sagenite in it.

What is Sagenite? Sagenite is the name given to a formation, rather than a single mineral. This is what Melody says: “Sagenite is the name given to complex reticulated, twinned intergrowths of acicular Rutile crystals (or vacant structures showing the same morphology); the Rutile crystals intersect at 60-degree angles.” Love Is in the Earth, p. 707

This all sounds very, very complicated, right? Well, it is actually easy to recognize the Sagenite formation, because it forms a Star of David pattern, that repeats and overlaps, forming a mesh, or net. In fact, the word “‘Sagenite’ is from the Latin word meaning ‘large fishing net.’” Melody, p. 707. There is actually quite a long list of minerals that can form into Sagenite. The best known are: Rutile, Tourmaline, Epidote and Goethite.

Let’s rather move on to the amazing power of Sagenite, and to introduce that I think I should tell the story of the Sagenite included Quartz. That Tucson show, I was accompanied by my assistant Lauren, and my son, Aidan. This was significant, because I would never have bought that crystal without outside encouragement.

We entered the room of a high-end dealer, and were immediately struck by this one particular specimen. My son Aidan, who had a fine eye, and later became an artist, took one look at it, recognized something special and said, in a Mr. Bean voice: “Buy it.” The price on this spectacular crystal was far beyond any amount I had spent on a crystal before, and represented 20% of my entire budget. Aidan was insistent – he stood at my shoulder, and kept repeating: “Buy it. Buy it. Buy it,” in my ear. All this in a Mr. Bean voice, of course.

Iolite: You Are Unique

 

Hello and welcome back to The Schapera Show where Viv and Neil explore this big adventure called Life. This is the part of the show where I, Vivien, talk to and about crystals. Our crystal guest today is a stone called Iolite, a stone that has a true indigo color, making it one of the most ideal stones for the third eye.

When I checked what AI has to say about Iolite, the results were rather disappointing. The list of properties was so generic, it could have been describing any (and every) stone. I turned back to my usual trusted source, namely Melody, and did get a little further. At least Melody highlighted some of the unique attributes of Iolite like: elimination of debts, balancing the male/female aspects of character, stimulation of visions and imbibing alcohol without exhibiting any ill effects. All of these sound like rather special benefits, but there’s more.

The one that really intrigued me is that one can use Iolite to strengthen your constitution so you can defy physiological disorders. This intrigues me, because I have recently been doing some research about super-aging.

Iolite told me to begin there – “there” being “first explain the word constitution in an understandable manner because people may have a feel for the meaning, but not a clear, accurate verbal definition, and then define “super-aging.”

Neil: Oh, so this is a revision of a book that you wrote a long time ago?

Vivien: Yes, I wrote the first version specifically for Alexander Teachers, back in 1996, and it was published in serial form, chapter-by-chapter, in our professional journal, and then we also made photocopied manuals which we used when we taught workshops on the topic.

Then, in 2004, I revised the manual so that it could be a handbook for all client-based businesses, not just us Alexander Teachers.
