We have been talking to members of the Beryl family and we are going to continue that today by talking to Heliodor, which is the yellow Beryl. Sounds like the yellow peril but it’s not. It’s the yellow Beryl and it’s the opposite of peril.
Heliodor’s meaning is rooted in its Greek origins—meaning gift of the sun, from Helios for the sun and Doron for gift. Heliodor is aptly named because it embodies the sun’s warmth and positive energy.
With its yellow color, it is of course associated with the solar plexus chakra, promoting self-confidence and self-empowerment. The solar plexus chakra includes the organs of self, and I think I have spoken about them before, but I’m going to talk about them again today because we are talking about the solar plexus chakra and it’s very important.
Here’s a list of those organs: the liver, the spleen, the kidneys, the stomach, and the pancreas.
Because Heliodor is a Beryl, it enlivens the nervous system. You see, aquamarine and morganite—they’re Beryls—they really affect nerves. So does Heliodor, but in a somewhat different way. It’s quite interesting. It will come through when you see what else we’ve got to say here.
So let’s begin with what AI said:

Well there we are. Those are the organs of self. That sounds right, doesn’t it? And Heliodor says this is correct. I help the organs of self. I can convert the energy from the etheric realm to strengthen these organs in the same way as plants can convert the energy from the sun into food.

As a stone of the solar plexus chakra, Heliodor is said to enhance self-confidence, assertiveness, and personal will. And all Heliodor says to that is yes, this is correct. And of course we did touch on that already.

It is known as the gemstone of hope, helping to remove feelings of despair and replacing negativity with optimism. Heliodor’s comment: indirectly yes, but not directly. I am the stone of sunlight with the emphasis on light. That means that I dispel darkness and despair and negativity because they are dark. So yes, my action does affect those dynamics.
Clarity and decision making.
Heliodor is believed to bring mental clarity, helping with objective and fact-based decision making and promoting intellectual capabilities. Heliodor says yes, these are capacities of the nervous system. I am Beryl and I enhance the nervous system.
Intuition and communication.
It can enhance intuition, make it a useful tool for meditation and divination, and is also thought to improve communication abilities. To which Heliodor says yes, these are functions of the nervous system so I do enhance these functions.
How powerful is that?
Clearly, Heliodor is all about personal power and harnessing a smooth flow between body, mind, and spirit.
