Our crystal guest today is Tangerine Quartz a most interesting candidate. Tangerine Quartz is like Golden Healer in that the color appears to be formed like a stain through the material, but it is not an inclusion.

This in itself seems to signal a property or even multiple properties because we see this dynamic with Golden Healer, and then also the aura minerals. Where the stain is coming from is not entirely certain and actually, can vary. For example, Hematite is one candidate and Limonite is another, forming this iron oxide coating.
The important thing to know is that the color cannot be removed by cleaning or scraping – it is integral to the structure, fused, and this is a very important marker.
