Ask the Buddhas – And Other Messages from the Mineral Kingdom

This is one of the most unusual encounters that I’ve ever had with the mineral kingdom, and it has yielded an uncommon insight. None of my crystals was stepping forward to say: “It’s my turn!” and I got quite confused by the situation. Finally, I just asked: “How come no one is stepping forward this month?” and I heard all my crystals say in unison: “Because you’re talking to all of us!”

“What does that mean,” I asked, “talking to all of us?”

“That’s what we mean … all of us. You’re speaking to all of us at once as a collective entity.”

“I don’t know what that means?” I said, because I was getting quite perplexed.

“You must ask the Buddhas,” sang the choir of crystal voices.

“The Buddhas?”

“Yes, the Buddhas. Tell them the story of the Buddhas, that’s what you’re supposed to do … tell the story of the Buddhas.” Aha! At last the penny dropped. So, now I’m going to tell you the story of the Buddhas, as directed by the mineral kingdom. Here’s what happened:

We are very keen gardeners and we like to decorate our yard with statuary, but we’ve found that white is the best color for us – because it stands out best. We also particularly like Buddha statuary, but we find it hard to find white Buddhas.

Every year we take a winter vacation on Sanibel Island in Florida and to our delight, we discovered that they actually sell white Buddha statuary at the garden center in Sanibel. This year, they had added to their inventory and we were able to get not one, but two Buddhas. This was right at the beginning of our trip, and then without even discussing it, we just sort of agreed to keep the statues in the car, because that’s what seemed to make sense … so there we were on Sanibel Island driving around with two nice-sized Buddhas in our car … and it seemed like quite a good idea at the time.

What we didn’t factor into our thinking, was how these two Buddhas in our car were going to affect us – why would we? Without prior experience, there was no reason to think of this as anything other than an expedient decision – we wouldn’t carry them into our little cottage only to carry them back out again. I certainly didn’t expect the profound alteration in my thinking that turned out to be the consequence.

Vivien talks about “Crystal Healing in the 21st Century” with Valeria Teles in the Quest for Well-Being podcast

Valeria writes on her podcast page:

Crystal Surgery is a new style of crystal healing, founded in the 1990’s by Vivien Schapera.

In Crystal Surgery, the crystals are used in very specific ways as tools for “operating” on both the energy field and the energy body.

The energy field is the electromagnetic force field, which emanates from the physical body and the energy body, and surrounds the physical body.

The energy body is the energetic duplicate of the physical body and is made up of etheric tissue. Etheric tissue consists of “materials” from the etheric dimension, in contrast to the physical body, which is made up of materials from the earthly dimension.

Valeria Teles interviews Vivien Schapera — She is a Teacher, Energy Healer, Author, Founder Of Fourwinds Academy For The Healing Arts & Sciences, A School For Training Healers.

Vivien Schapera has rare expertise in each of our 3 layers of existence – the physical, the mental and the spiritual; and she specializes in translating intuitive, energetic and spiritual dynamics into practical information for celebrating life.
She began her career by training first in clinical psychology, and then in the Alexander Technique, a hands-on method for retraining neuromuscular dynamics.

Through this work, Vivien developed a refined sensitivity to energy, leading her to add healing to her skills. In Everyday Magic (2002 and 2020), Vivien relates how the spirit world guided her, from childhood in Apartheid South Africa, growing up with her LGBTQ brother, through coming to the USA, and founding FourWinds Academy, a school for training healers(1999).
Vivien’s other books include How to Lose Weight and Gain Money (2004) and Guided Lessons for Students of the Alexander Technique (2010).
In 2020, Vivien published an award-winning, groundbreaking textbook, The Complete Guide to Crystal Surgery, introducing the world to a new form of crystal healing.

Neil’s Journey to the “Pool of Reflection”

For today’s show, I did a Shamanic Journey to the Upper World
Requesting guidance for information to present on the Schapera Show

Went up along glistening silver blue light beam

Not climbing the light beam, but just going up along side it.

I wanted to meet my beloved Spirit Teachers in the Upper World Spirit Realm and request important, useful and interesting information for the Show.

I entered the Upper World at a familiar place, going over a small wooden bridge, that lead me to a clearing where the benevolent Spirit Teachers of the Upper World often come to meet me.

I soon saw one of my Spirit Teachers who is very interesting in that she travels to both the Lower World and the Upper World – I regularly see her in both Spirit Realms.
Usually the Spirits stay mainly in either the Upper or the Lower Worlds.

She reminds me of a Journey I did previously for today’s show, where I was taken to a place called the “Pool of Reflection”, where one can get a better understanding of ones life, and how our thoughts, beliefs, and actions, most of which are habitual and lacking in self-insight, lead to consequences which are often not positive.

In the “Pool of Reflection” we can see the so-called “mistakes” we have made in our lives and understand with clarity how poor thinking and poor judgment, and especially lack of self-insight leads to undesirable outcomes.

The “Pool of Reflection” is a place of self-reflection, where the phrase attributed to the famous philosopher Socrates, “Know Thyself” can be put into action.
The amazing thing about seeing ones life in the Pool of Reflection apart from the benefit of a new, clear understanding, is that the Spirits can actually introduce new energies and dynamics and even transmutations into ones biographical story, so that the outcome of these past mistakes can actually be changed, and are felt much more compassionately and positively, and more importantly, there is a much more positive feeling about our present and we feel that our lives have turned out better than we previously thought.

Integrative Medicine, The Best of Both Worlds: Interview with Dr. Marcie Claybon

Ready to give up either/or thinking, transcend the debate and give yourself the best of both worlds? Dr. Marcie Clayborn, integrative medicine specialist, shares her wisdom and knowledge. Note: We’re sharing our interview notes, this is not a transcription – for more information please listen to the interview.

Our guest today is Dr. Marcie Clayborn, a medical doctor who speaks freely and enthusiastically about her Spirit Guides, and she has some very interesting viewpoints to share with us … Hello Dr. Marcie! Thank you for joining us.

Thank you for having me on the show …

Now, I’m particularly interested in what you are doing, based in my own professional experiences, so I wonder if we can begin with you telling us what you do?

I’m an internal medicine physician by training.  I work as the medical director of a private club in Chicago called BIÂN, where I am building a concierge medical practice on-site.  For those unfamiliar with concierge medicine, it’s essentially an “active membership” to a private physician.  So individuals pay an annual fee to have access to my cell phone and email address 24/7 for medical advice and telehealth beyond traditional office hours.

BIÂN, is a private social social club rooted in holistic wellness.  Essentially, this was a project initiated by a group of Chicago-based entrepreneurs who thought: “What if we created a space in which people could hang out or get work done, have coffee, enjoy a meal, work out, go to a yoga class, get a massage, AND see their doctors – all in the same space?  What if we could integrate health and wellness into everyday life?”

The intention of BIÂN is truly to represent a home for “integrative” medicine.  I think this can be honestly be an elusive and sometimes misunderstood term.  But the idea is that we’re actively utilizing a multi-disciplinary team of both traditional and non-traditional practitioners, who work together to promote overall healing.  Additionally, there’s an understanding, at least for me, that “integrative medicine” represents the idea that mind, body, and spirit are integrated as one – not separate entities, but one, single entity within a person.

Guest Blog – Myths and Facts about Crystal Healing

 Crystal Healing Myths and Facts

Guest Blog by John Adams
We welcome sharing of information and perspectives, handled in an open and respectful manner. Posting a blog here means we are interested in the topic and the viewpoint, but does not imply agreement or endorsement.

Crystal healing has gained massive popularity in recent years, after being endorsed by renowned celebrities like Adele and Katy Perry. Crystals are used in many spa treatments and meditative practices too, as they are known to produce relaxing and calming effects. Many people who have undergone crystal therapies swear by its healing power. Crystal healing has been employed for treating several mental and physical ailments, and it works. However, there are several misconceptions about how it works and to what extent. Let us discuss some common myths and lesser known facts about this extraordinary healing method:

Myth: Anyone can practice crystal healing

Anyone can learn crystal healing, but practicing as a crystal healer does require training. Mastering the art of crystal healing requires ample knowledge and learning. There are so many different types of crystals having unique properties. Any information on the internet is limited, and might even be misleading. If you want to become a crystal healer, you can undertake an online course, from a recognized teacher, to become certified. Crystal healing is not necessarily “harmless” and crystal healing, especially on others, can produce unwanted effects. The worst harm can come from not getting the right qualified and help in time. For medical conditions, it is important to consult the right doctors, get correct diagnoses and get appropriate care. All Healers should always be aware and responsible, and avoid any possibility of being accused of medical malpractice.

Fact: Crystal healing is a complementary and supportive therapy to medical techniques

Scientists and medical professionals refer to crystal healing as pseudoscience as there is no peer reviewed evidence to verify its efficacy for curing specific diseases. Studies show that using crystals and other gemstones for therapy has a positive influence on health; yet, scientists believe that it is partially due to the placebo effect. The use of crystals to facilitate healing is an ancient practice, which propagated more than 6000 years ago. However, modern treatments are inspired by traditional Asian concepts, such as the Chinese ‘chi/qi’ (life-energy), and the Buddhist/Hindu ‘chakras’.

Integrative Medicine, The Best of Both Worlds: Interview with Dr. Marcie Claybon

Ready to give up either/or thinking, transcend the debate and give yourself the best of both worlds? Dr. Marcie Claybon, integrative medicine specialist, shares her wisdom and knowledge. Note: We’re sharing our interview notes, this is not a transcription – for more information please listen to the interview.
Our guest today is Dr. Marcie Claybon, a medical doctor who speaks freely and enthusiastically about her Spirit Guides, and she has some very interesting viewpoints to share with us … Hello Dr. Marcie! Thank you for joining us.
Thank you for having me on the show…
Now, I’m particularly interested in what you are doing, based in my own professional experiences, so I wonder if we can begin with you telling us what you do?
I’m an internal medicine physician by training.  I work as the medical director of a private club in Chicago called BIÂN, where I am building a concierge medical practice on-site.  For those unfamiliar with concierge medicine, it’s essentially an “active membership” to a private physician.  So individuals pay an annual fee to have access to my cell phone and email address 24/7 for medical advice and telehealth beyond traditional office hours.

Marcie, as I said, I’ve had some of my own experiences with Integrative Medicine, and back in the 90’s we established an Integrative Health facility here in Cincinnati. First there was one and then suddenly there were more – but I found the enactment frustrating. What I’m finding interesting in your model at Bian is that there is more collaboration. It seems that as a doctor of western medicine, you aren’t automatically in the most senior position, is that fair to say?
