Maetreyii: Hello Vivien, thank you for having me!
Vivien: So, Maetreyii, in a nutshell, in addition to being a psychologist, you are also a mystic, and you have written a book. Also, in a nutshell, can you tell us what your book is about?
Maetreyii: Yes! My book is there to help people. We live in a material culture so our mystical experiences are kept hidden. We have to come out of the closet with our spiritual experiences, we need to believe in ourselves and believe in our own experiences. Mystical experiences seem different and can be hard to accept so we hide them.
My book is called Heart of the Infinite: A Spiritual Memoir of an Extraordinary Mystical Journey.
It is the story of my personal transformation, and of course words like “remarkable” are insufficient for expressing the state of ecstatic love and spiritual bliss that I experienced, even while staying integrated in the practical everyday world – but I’ve tried my best to get this down in writing to inspire others who desire such an evolutionary journey.
Vivien: Yes, we must try to write it down, mustn’t we! Can you tell me, what does your name mean?
Maetreyii: Indeed! Maetreyii – means “spiritual friend’ in Sanskrit.
Vivien: And I have another question. I’ve always wanted to ask someone this – what does “Baba” mean?
Maetreyii: “Baba: is used to address a male spiritual teacher – it means “respected teacher.” Its most esoteric meaning is “divine beloved”
Vivien: Thank you! For me, coming from South Africa “Baba” means “baby” so it has been an emotionally confusing terminology.
Maetreyii: Well, the vibration of that name is fascinating – in Eastern Europe “bubbe’ means granny. The same sound, with the b’s and the vowels are used in several intimate relationship meanings, denoting personalized affection.
Vivien: Yes, my ancestors are from Eastern Europe, and growing up, I called my grandmother “Bobbe.” I’m familiar with that too. So, Maetreyii, what’s the bottom line here for you?
Maetreyii: The divine is guiding us. When you’ve had a deep experience, it is natural to want to share it. But we live in a culture where you can only tell your closest friend that a being showed up in your room.
Vivien: Now there’s another question that I have been wanting to ask a suitably qualified person for the longest time!!! How can you tell the difference between psychotic delusions and hallucinations, and mystical experiences?
Maetreyii: Yeah, that’s a very, very important distinction: Psychotic people vs mystical experiences. I have dealt with this a lot.
The differential diagnosis about whether an experience is mystical or psychotic is a very gray area, scary, hard to define. And that’s why its fearful for people. Even incredible experiences of bliss are fearful for people because they are so different from our regular reality.

Hello and welcome back to The Schapera Show, where Vivien and Neil explore this big adventure called Life. This is the part of the show, where I, Vivien, talk about crystals and talk to crystals. Today, we are going to talk to a type of Colombian Quartz, from high up in the mountains of Colombia, also known as Plasma Quartz. Why “plasma?” – because these are the brightest, clearest examples of Quartz you can ever expect to find – and this is without any exaggeration. Colombian Quartz is breathtaking.
In my little pre-chat with Colombian Quartz, I asked it what its keynote is, and it said: “Call me a chameleon.” Well, that did not fill me with pleasure because I’m not that fond of reptiles although even I must admit to admiring chameleons. “Why ‘Chameleon?’” I asked. “Because I’m so adaptable,” said Colombian Quartz.
Well, I couldn’t argue with that. Before I met Colombian Quartz, the world of laser wands was divided into two, namely Diamantinas and Lemurians. Firstly, what’s a laser wand? A laser wand is a Quartz crystal that is broader at its base, and tapers to the termination. Diamantinas are laser wands that are named after their extremely bright light – like diamonds. Lemurians are laser wands with a very distinctive formation, and they can be pinkish, orange-ish, yellow-ish, white or clear – but they are not particularly bright in appearance and can even have a kind of film over them. Both Diamantinas and Lemurians are powerful and versatile tools. Bustamite is a very rare stone that comes mainly from two locations, Spain and South Africa, and apparently Bustamite has also been found in Brazil, together with Rhodonite, and the state of New Jersey, but I’ve never seen such specimens myself. My first encounter with Bustamite was via Bob Jackson who for a long time was Melody’s significant other. Melody and Bob spoke about Bustamite in hushed tones, and this encouraged me to purchase a few pieces, but I have to be honest — I didn’t “get it.” I didn’t know what to do with it, and I couldn’t feel anything particular emanating from these little Bustamite stones.

The purpose of this journey is to travel to the Spirit Realm of the Upper World to request the Spirits that they give me guidance, around the topic of “how to resolve and manage conflict”.
I’m standing on a mountain ledge and I see, as if it’s a rope being lowered to me, my energy beam that I travel alongside to go up to the Upper World.
I see it being lowered and as it touches the ground, there’s like a spark or flash of light, which I haven’t seen before, and I put my hands and my feet around the energy beam, as if I’m climbing a rope, and start pulling and pushing myself up.
As I go higher it becomes easier, until I’m simply floating up alongside the beam. I’m going up and up and again putting out my request to the compassionate Spirit teachers of the Upper World, to please meet me, and help me, and give me guidance on this topic, of how to manage and resolve conflict.
In the back of my mind the kind of conflict that I’m thinking of is more interpersonal – so conflict between family members, conflict between friends, and conflict interestingly between enemies. So at this point I’m not thinking of groups or countries or nations or societies but more on the individual level.
I come to the wide pink stairway that I’ve encountered a number of times before that’s almost an entryway to the Upper World. What’s interesting on this occasion, is that the steps are all wet – they’re all covered in water ,and my first thought or understanding as I see this, is of them being slippery and tricky or dangerous, so my thought here is of how this topic is a tricky topic, and its easy to slip on.
So I go up the stairs carefully. I stick to one side where there is some sort of support – almost like a marble banister, and I think there’s a message in that too – that when when is trying to deal with this tricky topic of resolving conflict, one needs to have some safety – its a “slippery” topic.
